Sunnylands by Wendy VanHatten

For over 40 years Ambassadors Walter and Leonore Annenberg welcomed leaders from politics, education, and entertainment to their home in Rancho Mirage, California.

In 2001 they established the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands. This would preserve the estate as a place where world leaders could meet to discuss both national and international issues. They also wanted to make sure that Sunnylands would be open to the public.

Now, more than a half a million visitors have enjoyed Sunnylands Center and Gardens. The Annenberg Foundation Trust acknowledges the people who first lived in the Coachella Valley as well as their descendants who live here today.

If You Go: Sunnylands is open Wednesday through Sunday 8:30 to 4:00. Sunnylands is located at 37977 Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage, CA.
